Gabriel Sod Hoffs

Mr. Sod Hoffs joined Farallon in February 2007. Prior to joining Farallon, he was the chief portfolio strategist at Norodin Investment Management, a hedge fund in Greenwich, CT. Before his time at Norodin, Mr. Sod Hoffs spent over eight years at JPMorgan, initially as a foreign exchange and fixed income strategist focusing in emerging markets and then as a proprietary trader within the Global Currencies and Commodities Group. Previously, he served as director of strategic planning at Grupo Televisa, the largest media and entertainment group in the Spanish-speaking world.

Mr. Sod Hoffs graduated with the highest honors from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico where he obtained a B.Sc. in economics and where he was a recipient of a four-year merit scholarship. Mr. Sod Hoffs earned an M.A. and a Ph.D. in economics at Harvard University, where he was a Fulbright and Ford-MacArthur fellow.
